David Starkey on newsnight

I completely disagree with David as he says that 'whites have become blacks' which is completely wrong we are all human beings and we all do things that make us look bad at some point, I think it is so wrong to put people into categories based on their skin colour its wrong, the way the world is now its ok to say some words and its not ok to say others, a black man/women can say the 'n' word and nothing be held against him/her but its different if a white man/women says the 'n' word there would be up raw as that would be considered as rasist. There are completely different sets of rules to what some people can say and what others can't.

David is putting them into one category and thinks that it is ok to say that 'whites have become black' when black people aren't a particular type of person or have a specific purpose they are just people like everyone else who have been misunderstood and people are keeping with the same stereotypes from years ago, they think that it can't change but it can, all it needs is one person, no matter what colour their skin is, to change and people will follow, some are just to started to start it off for the future that could be a good one.

He shouldn't have said that if you heard a black man talking on the radio you would think he was white, that is completely wrong they way that people talk comes from where they were brought up such as someone from Australia would/might have a Australian accent, yes certain gangs may speak a certain way but that's because of where they are from or where they live not what they are doing. Race doesn't have a specific voice so he is wrong in what he said and even though he said sorry I don't think that he meant it, he just did it because he was told to.

London Riots

In the clip that I have watched they metion that boy that was shot dead by poilce Marcus Dugan, this boy was a teenager black boy who people believe was shot for the colour of his skin, after Marcus's death there began a peaceful protest for the teenager which leaded to the riots (so some people claim). Most of the people who were looting and rioting didnt know why they where doing it they just wanted to be in on the action and not miss out on getting free stuff just for the sake of a few nights of crime.
In the clips it shows that there are mostly teenagers and there arent a specific race that are taking part, people cant just say that it is mostly black teenagers or mostly white teenagers without looking at the situation directly.

If you go into other cities such as Liverpool or Birmingham or any other city in the UK you will see teenagers dressed in 'North Face' coats and walking around looking like they have hurt their legs, trying to be cool because that it what they think they should be doing at that age, they think that they have no choice but to join a gang, or smoke or commit a crime, in a percent of their lives that they will most probably regret when they get older, and think that they wish there was something that they could have done to change the way they thought.

They Young people in the video are not all black most of them are white and choosing to believe that it is just black youths is wrong, people just assume they are because its easier to instead of blaming your 'own' kind.
Most of the youths in the video have their hoods up and most have their faces covered up to say that it is mostly black youths is an instant judgement that people have made to make a explanation for what happened during the riots and what caused it. Pictures where taken of the youths and the people that took part in the riot and a lot of them, where white and also black so it cant really be blamed on 'Blacks' when it was kind of even they shouldn't be put into categories of black's and white's they shouldn't be grouped at all.

The picture above doesn't really help the fact that people are already blaming black people, a young black boy had to post this picture on twitter showing that he had robbed a large bag of basmati rice from Tesco and looking smug while he does it. He is not helping to change the minds of adults and what teenagers are thought of and the stereotypes that are put onto them.

The daily mail said that 'a youth' not a 'black youth' poses with a large sack of Tesco basmati rice on the third night of rioting in London, providing that items need not be valuable to be targeted by looters' at least they didn't say black young boy who has taken the picture, there would have been up raw about that if it was said, the reason it would have been was because it would have been targeting the colour of someone's skin which is not right but the world thinks this way and the people who don't think this way are over ruled by the people who do.
